Round 2 Fuji Speedway

For Fuji the 910 Racing Porsche had a new engine builder and the GT Association allowed an increase in air restrictor size by 1mm. After a promising test which saw Adam 3rd quickest, qualifying was not as good as expected and the 910 ended up in 9th place

"The Porsche is one of the few normally aspirated cars, so its difficult to compete in a qualifying lap, as the turbo cars can increase their boost "

The morning warm up was promising with Adam setting the fastest time and 0.2 of a second faster than Matsuda.

In the race, Matsuda started and being as the race was a 500k event, he pitted after 60 laps in 6th place. Adam took over and after exiting the pits, as he went round the second corner he was hit by the NISMO Nissan Skyline of Eric Comas. This damaged the left rear suspension, and bodywork, but Adam still managed to bring the car home in fourth place.

"I had massive oversteer due to the damage, and was pleased to get to the finish line with the car, as it was getting hard as the tyres were worn unevenly "
