Round 5 FUJI SPEEDWAY

Adam Wilcox raced at Fuji Speedway this weekend in round 5 of the All Japan GT Championships. The race team 910 had fitted a new sequential 6 speed gearbox and this helped as 910 qualified their season's best of 7th place. With only 1 second covering 10 cars.

Adam's team mate started the 57 lap race, but on lap 12 there was a accident which brought out the safety car and in the confusion many cars lost race laps including 910, Matsuda pitted on lap 19 and handed the car
over to Adam to complete the remaining 35 laps, but by now down in 16th place. Adam made up for lost ground and worked his way back into 6th place, 3 laps to go and again another crash and another saftey car Which brought Adam onto the tail of the 5th placed Subaru. I was pushing the Subaru hard
but with our early pit stop the tyres were well passed their best and the Subaru's much fresher, I had a look down the inside a the 170mph first corner but couldn't stop and the Subaru pulled a small gap I couldn't
close to the flag. "With a better strategy we could have won this race, a big dissapoinment for me" said Adam.
